Hit or Stand

Privacy policy

Last updated 3 November 2026

This policy covers Hit or Stand, run by SKMB Software Ltd (company number 17532454), the data controller.

The short version: we keep the minimum needed to run your account and the games. We don't sell your data.

What we collect

Why we use it

To run the games and your account, keep the leaderboards and clubs working, stop cheating and abuse, moderate chat, and fix bugs. Our lawful basis is providing the service you've asked for and our legitimate interest in keeping it safe and fair.

Who we share it with

Nobody, except: your chosen name, level, club and wins are shown to other players; Discord sees what you do in our server; our hosting provider stores the data on our behalf; if you buy chips, Stripe processes the payment; and if you allow analytics, Google processes visit statistics for us. If we add adverts or payments, the ad or payment provider will receive what it needs, and we'll update this page and ask for consent where needed first.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active. Ask us to delete your account and we'll remove your data, apart from anything we need to keep to prevent abuse.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Ask in #help on our Discord. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and storage

We use your browser's storage for your sign-in token and settings; these are needed for the site to work. With your permission we also use Google Analytics cookies (named _ga), which last up to two years. We ask before setting them, and you can change your mind any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We don't use advertising cookies.
